The $75 million investment announced last July 12 by the Baie-Comeau aluminum smelter for upgrading its harbour facilities will ensure the wharfs will last for the next 40 years.

During the rehabilitation period, an average of 37 people will work on this project, but as many as 65 employees will work during the peak period.

The project will generate local economic benefits in terms of supplying goods and services, recruiting local workers by the general contractor and the indirect activities generated by the job site.
